The lid and the pressure cooker are not properly positioned.
The excess gas in the pot has not been released.
Solution:
For the first use of the pressure cooker: Remove the sealing ring, close the lid and rotate it. If there are no problems, then install the sealing ring. Apply some cooking oil on the sealing ring and then close the lid.
Close the lid after aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the lower handle.
Align the small arrow on the edge of the lid with the small arrow on the pot handle, rotate the lid handle until the lid handle is completely aligned with the pot handle. For a new pressure cooker, press the lid with your left hand, release the excess air, and turn the handle several times with your right hand to ensure proper use.
2. Unable to Open the Lid
Reason:
There is still too much pressure inside the cookware, and the pressure has not been completely released.
The sealing ring of the pressure cooker is not sufficiently lubricated.
The handle is deformed or broken after being exposed to the heat source during cooking.
Solution:
Rotate and open the lid after the pressure is completely reduced. The lid must be opened only after the pressure is completely released.
Invert the cookware, apply some cooking oil on the sealing ring, push the sealing ring inward, and then open the lid.
Replace with a new handle.
3. Sealing Ring Issues
Reason:
The sealing ring is not properly installed.
The sealing ring is moldy.
The sealing ring is damaged.
Solution:
Place the sealing ring along the inner ring of the lid.
It is recommended to remove the sealing ring for cleaning during cleaning to avoid food residues in the gaps of the sealing ring causing mold and difficulties in secondary use.
If the sealing ring is damaged, it needs to be replaced in time to continue using the machine. Please consult the wantjoin customer service center for replacement.
4. No Steam Accumulation or Steam Leakage in the Pressure Cooker
Reason:
The heat source is not hot enough.
The water content in the cookware is not enough.
The position of the float valve is incorrect or too dirty.
The main handle and the lid handle are not properly aligned.
The sealing ring is aged or broken.
The sealing ring is not clean or has food residues.
Any device on the lid such as the safety valve or vent pipe becomes loose.
The lid or pot body is severely damaged.
Solution:
Turn up the temperature.
Add enough water.
Clean the pressure cooker lid, reassemble or replace it.
Pressure cooker lid closing process: ①First align the triangular arrow indicators on the lid and handle; ②Press the lid to expel the air in the pot; ③Rotate the handle clockwise until the lid handle and pot handle are aligned.
Replace with a new sealing ring.
Clean the sealing ring and replace it correctly.
Tighten the safety valve or vent pipe on the lid again.
Contact the customer service center to purchase a replacement.
5. Liquid or Broth Overflowing from the Vent Pipe
Reason:
The heat is too high.
Too much food has been put into the pot.
The pressure relief valve was opened prematurely when there was still cold air in the cookware.
Solution:
Reduce the heat.
Please follow the food placement instructions, put in at least 3 quarts of water, and do not exceed 1/2 of the pot's capacity with food.
The pressure relief valve can only be opened after there is no cold air in the cookware.
6. Safety Valve Not Fully Discharging Gas
Reason:
The vent pipe is blocked, or the pressure regulator around the vent pipe is closed too tightly, causing the pressure in the cookware to exceed the safe range.
There is an additional weight on the machine.
The safety valve has failed due to aging.
Solution:
First, let the heat cool down. After the steam in the pot is discharged, open the lid, check the cause of the blockage, clean the vent pipe, anti-clogging cover, and safety valve; check whether the pressure regulator is correctly placed on the vent pipe, and replace it if necessary.
Strictly prohibit placing any additional weight on the pressure cooker.
Please replace the safety valve.
7. Food Sticking to the Pot
Reason:
Insufficient water and oil can easily cause dry burning.
An unstable heat source can easily cause food to stick in certain areas.
Food residues can cause secondary sticking.
Solution:
Please ensure that the cooking ratio meets the standard and pay attention to the cooking time to avoid dry burning the machine.
Please ensure a stable medium-low heat and avoid continuously using high or unstable heat sources.
Clean the pot and the sealing ring thoroughly after use to remove any food residues.
